Lars Nordahl Lemvigh is new CEO at Port of Roenne A/S

The new CEO will take over on 1st May.

The 57-year-old Lars Nordahl Lemvigh comes with extensive and heavy management experience from several positions as director of public companies such as DSB and Trekantområdets Brandvæsen. Since 2017, he has served as director at The National Dept Management Agency (Gældsstyrelsen).

- The main port in Roenne has in recent years undergone a major development, which has helped to strengthen Bornholm's location in the Baltic Sea and turn the island's location to an advantage. With Lars Nordahl Lemvigh on board, we have found the right person to continue that development. Lars comes with heavy management experience and is used to leading organizations in change. That experience will be a strength both for the port's organization and its connection to the Bornholm business community, says Lars Karlsson, Chairman of the Board at Port of Roenne A/S.

Lars Nordahl Lemvigh is originally from another central port city, Esbjerg, where he was born and raised. He has also had a long career in the defense, where he was stationed for short periods at the airport on Bornholm.

- I know about Bornholm and not least the development that the Port of Roenne has undergone in recent years, and it is impressive how far the port has come. It is not just a busy business port, but a significant player on Bornholm and a huge engine in the development we see in Eastern Denmark. I have a huge respect for what has been done, and I look forward to getting to know the organization and all the employees. At the same time, I also look forward to having a close dialogue with the local companies and stakeholders. Although the job is a change of industry for me, I am sure that with my experience I can add value to the development that the port is facing, says Lars Nordahl Lemvigh.
