New head of cruise at Port of Roenne A/S

Yana Grundke has started as Chief Business Officer for Cruise at Port of Roenne A/S.

Port of Roenne A/S has positioned Bornholm as one of the main cruise destinations in the Baltic Sea, and in 2022 there are already more than 70 calls prebooked for the port in Roenne.

To strengthen the position in the cruise market in the Baltic Sea, Port of Roenne A/S has recruited the 33 years old Yana Grundke from Germany to be the new CBO for Cruise. She will take over from Niels Lundberg, who has been leading the development of the Cruise business at Port of Roenne A/S for the last ten years.

Since 2015 Yana Grundke has been Manager of Business Development and Marketing Manager for Cruise & Ferry at Mukran Port. Yana has overseen developing tourism concepts at Ruegen for cruise and ferry shipping for Mukran Port and Port of Sassnitz in cooperation with industry players in the Baltic Sea.

At Port of Roenne A/S Yana Grundke will oversee the development of the Cruise business and represent Port of Roenne A/S on the international cruise market.

- We are very happy that we can attract Yana Grundke to be responsible for the development of cruise tourism at Port of Roenne A/S. Cruise tourism in the Baltic Sea has a huge potential to grow in the coming years and Bornholm has good possibilities for exploiting the potential of being an unspoiled gem, says Thomas Bendtsen, CEO at Port of Roenne A/S.

Yana has already begun her job at Port of Roenne A/S and will be living at Bornholm.

- It is so easy to fall in love with the sunniest part of Denmark, which has so much to offer. The natural unspoiled environment, excellent local food, and of course the charming towns and fishing villages with their unique architecture make Bornholm a perfect spot. Looking ahead I am excited to continue the development of the cruise market with new colleagues and together exploit the strategically important location in the Baltic Sea, says Yana Grundke.
